The Plate Rattle & Bowl Company is a small family business that was set up in 1987 producing kitchen treen (platters, salad bowls etc) rattles and bowls - hence the name. In 1999 we decided to become specialist rattle-makers, probably the only such company in the UK.We are committed to producing high quality gifts for babies. We have spent time, not just on the design of a beautiful present but also to ensure that you receive a complete and satisfying product and service. We only make babies' rattles and as specialists can offer high quality, individual gifts at affordable prices.

Each rattle undergoes at least fourteen different processes before the final product is ready for despatch. At every stage we check for quality, making sure that you will be delighted with what you receive. The Plate Rattle & Bowl Company plants one tree a month through the Woodland Trust because of our belief in regenerating broadleaf trees in Britain.

We are members of the British Toymakers Guild, an organisation that is committed to the development and promotion of high quality toys that will last and are worth keeping. Many of our customers still have the rattle as a keepsake, with teething marks many years later.
